JG Review's Top 5 Movie Easter Eggs

With Easter Sunday just tomorrow, people around the world are eagerly waiting to tuck into their chocolate eggs to mark the end of the Lenten fast. So here at JG Review, James thought he'd share his Top 10 Movie Easter Eggs**!

**EASTER EGG: An unexpected or undocumented feature in a Game, DVD, Movie or other software, included as a joke or a bonus, and aimed at the audience to provide satisfaction and intrigue.

Here we go...

5 - The Three Mouse-keteers - The Little Mermaid (1989)

If you look very closely during a scene incredibly early on in Disney's much beloved classic: The Little Mermaid, the staples of Disney Animation themselves, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, appear below the King in the crowd. It's a hard one to find but when you do see it, it is most rewarding. But, as you'll later find out, Disney and their plethora of studios can be even more nifty when it comes to ingenious Easter eggs...
4 - Rapunzel and Flynn - Frozen (2013)

The recent smash-hit Frozen hid two other much-loved Disney characters aside from Anna and Rapunzel. Flynn and Rapunzel had recently chatted about Arendelle in 2010, and it looks like they finally got around to their Honeymoon break, as they are quite clearly seen during Anna's For the First Time in Forever solo outside the Castle gates. Let's hope that, like Elsa, they don't mind the cold either...

3 - Star Wars Hieroglyphics - Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

When our titular hero Dr. Jones is preparing to remove the stone lid off of the famous ark, a rather peculiar wall of hieroglyphics can be seen in the background. Among these is an inscription of Princess Leia handing the Death Star plans to the iconic R2-D2. In fact, there have been similar Star Wars references in all four Indiana Jones movies! Hats of to ya George Lucas!
2 - Stan Lee and Marvel - Marvel's Avengers: Assemble (2012)

Stan Lee has appeared in EVERY SINGLE Marvel movie since day dot, but my personal favorite was his cameo in Marvel's Avengers. He appeared around halfway through the film in a scene in a cafe alongside Steve Rogers, and also appeared during the descent and finale of the movie. The viewer is taken around a menagerie of Stark-style technological news bulletins with Stan Lee (the creator of all of the Avengers characters) denying their existence.
1 - Pixar's Menagerie of Easter Eggs! - WALL·E (2008)

Pixar Animation Studios is world renowned for their use of Easter Eggs. They foreshadow and reminisce about upcoming and past projects Pixar has worked/are working on. Characters cross over and there are 'hidden mickeys' all over the place. Wall-E though, has to be the film that is the fullest of Pixar in-house references.  In the image above, you can see that a Rex toy a la Toy Story has been collected by the titular robot. The Pizza Planet van from Toy Story also makes an appearance, as does the number A113 which references the company's original corridor office room number. Skinner's scooter (Ratatouille), Hammy (Toy Story), Traffic Cones (Toy Story), Mickey Mouse, Crush the Turtle (Finding Nemo), Mr Incredible (The Incredibles) and Bird (A Bug's Life) are all also seen in the film.
