During Disney's D23 a host of new live action fairy-tales were revealed to excited audiences. Among them was the sequel to the immensley popular Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, which will be based on the Lewis Carroll sequel to the original novel entitled "Alice through the Looking Glass". Some beautiful posters were revealed starring the iconic Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp will reprise his role here) and the extraordinarily talented Mia Wasikowska who will also return to take on the titular female role.

Moreover, Iron Man director Jon Favreau revealed some information, a sizzle reel and a poster to the guests at the convention from his new iteration of The Jungle Book, based on the Rudyard Kipling novel of the same name and inspired by the animated classic from the Disney renaissance era. Unfortunately, only the poster was released to the public, but it has been hailed by studio heads as one of the most technologically advanced movies ever made. Stars including Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken and Ben Kinglsey will all voice and provide motion capture for the beastly characters in the movie, and is sure to be a spectacular delight for fans of all ages.

Emma Watson's Belle also shone as a sizzle reel for 2017's Beauty and the Beast was shown to many an excited fan. Josh Gadd (who has starred in The Book of Mormon and recently voiced the snowman Olaf in Disney Animation's Frozen) delighted guests with an on-screen rendition of Gaston alongside Luke Evans (who will play the vain Disney villain). It was revealed that the film will be a full-on musical, with all original songs and some new ones included in the movie.
